Who We Are
Our names are, Zoe (age 12 Oxley College), Ella (age 10 Burrawang Public School ), Frankie (age 10 Burrawang Public School), Indigo (age 6 Burrawang Public School), Alicia (age 13 Oxley College) and Freya (age 12 Oxley College). We are the Gorilla Girls!
In late March I went to the National Young Leaders Day at Sydney. Bindi Irwin was one of the special guests who spoke to us about helping the conservation of the environment, her passion and most importantly that you are never to young to make a difference in the world. During the brake (since the day went for a while we had to eat) I saw the ”Answer the Call” campaign and knew that, that was what I wanted to do. The campaign is about recycling mobile phones to help save the low-land gorillas which are on the endangered list. This is where my journey began.
Our Goals:
1. Recycle 1,000 devices for the whole of the Southern Highlands
2.
